“Health Awareness Program”on 17th October 2003
Telugu Kala Samithi (TKS) has conducted “Health Awareness Program” on 17th October 2003, at Indian Community School – Amman Street Branch, Salmiyah.
General Secretary Murali Manohar has given the welcome note and introduced various doctors to the audience. President Bala Krishna welcomed the guests and spoke about TKS role in taking interest of their member’s health. The Program was inaugurated with the lighting of the Lamp and presided over by Dr. Srihari Rao.
Dr. Usha Rajaram was the first speaker, to give key notes on Paediatrics and touched on various vital points to be observed on a child from her birth till she grows to an adult.
Dr. Vasantha Reddy later spoke about pregnancy and maternity care.
Dr. Chandrasekhar gave detailed note on the aspects of Anaesthesia and its major role in today’s surgery.
Dr. Indeevar Avnoor, who is an Orthodontist presented general idea about the dental care.
Dr. Adinarayana with his expertise in Orthopaedics gave a brief summary regarding the various Orthopaedic care.
Physiotherapist Ravi Kumar a general note on his field, with simple tips for daily health care and exercise.
Dr. Sharfuddin, a Neurologist presented his subject in a very simplified form to the gathering.
Dr. Venugopal, Radiologist spoke about various techniques used by this department for the benefit of patients, in identifying the problems.
The program was sponsored by LIC (International) and their Sales Officer Sekhar briefed the members regarding various policies offered by LIC and their benefits to NRIs. He stressed, like health care, one should take precaution to take care of his family, before any financial problems arise due to any life related problems.
Many members present appreciated this novel idea of TKS in conducting such good programs. Many doctors, including Dr. Manga Raju, answered various questions.
TKS presented to all the doctors mementos in appreciation of their support. Members requested doctors to send regular tips to www.tks-kuwait.com website regarding health care.
