on picnic in desert camp at Ahmadi on 14th Nov. 2004. Dear Members, We thank you very much
for your active and enthusiastic participation in the picnic on 14th
Nov., 2004 at desert camp at Ahmadi. The program went very well as per
schedule up to noon. All children’s events and some of ladies events
were successfully completed. Members were in very joyous mood enjoying
the desert camp with complete independence unlike parks.
Members were enjoying this new experience. Suddenly in the
afternoon, some unfortunate minor incident took place. It did not stop
there. It slowly started exploding into a major problem. It is extremely
unfortunate that some of our members were injured in the altercation
that took place. We should be extremely grateful to Mr.Surya Rao,
Mr.Bhaskar Reddy and Mr.Eshwar Naidu who put the interest of TKS members
above their personal interest and safeguarded the members. We contacted
Indian Embassy for help. Even though it was not of much use, the very
positive response from the Embassy was very much appreciated. It was
great moral support to us. With the help of some well-wishers, the
situation was brought under control, but the atmosphere was tense.
Consider safety and over all sentiment of the members and all other
factors, the program was concluded at about 3.30 PM. However the
executive committee had to stay back until 5.00PM to wind up the camp.
The executive committee regrets the inconvenience caused to the members.
It feels extremely sorry for the minor injuries to Mr.Surya Rao,
Mr.Bhaskar Reddy and Mr.Eshwar Naidu. It is extremely grateful the
Indian Embassy for the positive response to the situation. Members may
be pleased to note that the injured members were treated for the minor
injuries by.Dr.Sudhir. The Executive Committee thanks the following members who conducted various games..

competitions were successfully conducted on 29th October 2004
at India International School, Mangaf. The programs was started as per
schedule at about 9.00AM and concluded by 1.00PM. The competitions were
conducted in the following 8 events for the four group starting from
nursery to 9th Standard. There were no participants in the 5th
group – 10-12th Standard.
There was very
enthusiastic participation. Keen interest of many children to learn
Telugu and participate in these competitions is very much appreciated by
all. There were about 70 participants in the events. The performance was
evaluated by 3 judges for each event. The note worthy feature of the
event is that group-2 (
Stanadard 1-3) excelled in participation as well as performance
The results will be announced in forthcoming children’s program
on 9th December 2004. The executive committee profusely thanks the
school management for the cooperation by offering the school premises
for conducting the events. The committee also thanks the following
personnel who have readily accepted our request to judge the events.
Last but not least, the committee thanks all the parents for their encouragement of children to learn Telugu and participate in the events. With Warm Regards Dr.D.Veeranna President |
