* * More Pets* *

My first horse, Pet, that I'd wanted since I was little and got when I was fifteen. She's an adopted BLM mustang mare and I showed her in 4H halter, western, and trail classes for four years. She's now seventeen years old and a complete angel. On the ground that is. She's a terror to ride because she's stubborn and has a very choppy gait. My brother describes it as riding a washing machine that's out of alignment. But if you're not riding her, she's a complete teddy bear and you can do anything with her. Can you imagine where she got her name? .

My three identical Brahma hens. The first hen is Atilla, being shown in the 4H class at our 2002 County Fair. The second hen is Priscilla (Prissy) Atilla's best buddy for two years. The third hen (facing right) is Queenie, brought in to comfort Priscilla when Atilla died. She was very depressed and lonely without Atilla and would hardly eat. But she likes Queenie. They won big at the 2004 Madison County Fair as you can see.

And last, but certainly not least, the sheep. Actually, the sheep have been sold. But I'm going to leave them up here because they were a big part of my life for seven years and I miss them so much.

This is Popcorn, my oldest ewe at 5 1/2. She is a Suffolk sheep, and a major pain. But I love her to pieces anyway. She is an exceptional mama even if she is a big pig. The top left picture was taken in 1999 right before she lambed. The middle picture is of her with her first lamb, Rambo. In the time I owned her she had seven lambs. Rambo, Frisky, Dandy (Dandelion), Domino, Scamper, Sunshine, & Annie.

Sunshine is one of Popcorn's babies, and this is her in March 2003 with her first lamb, Little Juan. The first picture is actually of her as a newborn. The second picture is of her with her newborn lamb, Little Juan. The third is Little Juan himself, posing for the camera.

Annie was the last lamb I got from Popcorn before I sold her. That's why I'm putting her pictures on here. This is her in spring 2003, first with her mama Popcorn. And secondly, shown as little older lamb with one of my mom's free-range chickens in the background.

Tito, my ram, and the papa of Little Juan and Annie. Tito's a real sweetie, but he does love to break things. The second picture is him "waving" from the trailer on the way to the 2004 county fair!!
