There are six offices currently at the Orting School Chapter of FBLA. These offices are listed below with a short description of each including their duties.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The President
The president presides over each meeting and creates the agenda for each meeting and also keeps the meeting to its order of business. The president should be familiar with parliamentary procedure. The president may suggest motions, but not make them and puts motions to a vote and announces the outcome. The president must also promote the growth and development of FBLA.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Vice President
The vice president presides over the chapter meetings in the absence of the president and assists the president in the discharge of his/her duties and responsibilites. The vice president also coordinates and guides the efforts of all chapter committees, thus serving as an ex-officio member on all chapter committees.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Secretary
The secretary is in charge of keeping an accurate record of each chapter meeting.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Treasurer
The treasurer must act as a custodian of the funds of the organization and make sure that all members have paid their dues. The treasurer must also give financial reports at all chapter meetings and see bookkeeper for the account update the day before each meeting.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Parliamentarian
The parliamentarian serves in any capacity as directed by the president and advises the president or presiding officer on points of parliamentary procedure. The parliamentarian must also keep reference material pertaining to parliamentary procedure readily available for use at every meeting and calls the chair's attention to significant irregularities in procedure.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Reporter/Historian
The reporter/historian maintains record of the chapter by creating the chapter scrapbook. The reporter/historian takes pictures of FBLA members at all activities and seeks, gathers, and classifies all chapter news.
