USE THE ONLINE CATALOG TO GET BOOKS AND OTHER ITEMS  


  1. Choose a topic for which to get books and articles. It can be class-related or something interesting.

  2. A. Find a book on your chosen topic from the online catalog (use General Keyword to search).
        PRINT one page of a full book record. (Click on a title to get full record).
    B. What Subject Heading or Headings for your topic is used by the Online Catalog ?

  3.   A. Use SLCC’s catalog. Try an Alphabetical (browse) search using the blue top tab.

      Use their online catalog. You may use Subject keyword now.

    USING ONLINE DATABASES FOR ARTICLES . . .    

    From the Library Web Page, go into the Library Resources area, then scroll down and get Research Tools at the left.
    Now click on Research Databases at the top (notice that you can also find them by subject area or by title).
    Notice WebFeat searches many databases.
